I'm extremely competitive and don't like to lose. Also I'm more academic than athletic. Chess gives me a chance to excersice my mind, and play competitively against others. Oddly enough, I got into chess because I had nothing else to do 😂

I played against my sister’s friend once. She was born in Russia. Even if I was an advanced player, she still would have crushed me, since she was once in the top 20 chess players in the US. But she didn’t have time to play seriously anymore, because she went to Columbia University, got a finance degree, and now is a financial advisor at a bank.
