I am in legend and I have been for the past six months

Nice! I stopped caring about leagues after I won legend. I just checked & apparently I am on the lead of this week's legend leaderboard by far & I did not even try to do that. I have been focused on other aspects instead of playing a bunch of random games just to win the league. Anyway my point is that it was not really worth it playing so much as I did focusing on the leagues because my elo stayed the same & did not improve. Only after league winning obsession ended I have been able to advance in chess knowledge & gain elo.

If there was leagues for who gained most elo during the week in different timed categories it would be more useful for the long run I think.

Leagues are more like a rite to be accepted to the community. Not going trough them is not an option for the stubborn winning oriented players. Most go through them although questioning leagues afterwards. It's easy to forget it was fun while it lasted. When the leagues stop progressing it's just repetitive, but sure who ever is inspired to compete in them can do so if they like. Would be nice to have elo gaining leagues afterwards or something new to compete achieving with others stuck in legend.

I can't see such button (perhaps it's not on mobile) & I don't think I would push it anyway, I don't see why push it. But if you find it go ahead and push it if it makes you happy! I think the button had a meaning when the legends club existed. If not wanting to be part of that.

Go for it!! 💪🏻 There's plenty of time being stuck at legend afterwards 😂 U are experiencing the fun parts of leagues! For me the champion league was hardest, on the last day my toughest competition gave up. I got over 2000 trophies that week, now down to max a bit over 1000/week because I don't care anymore.
Finally in 2 seasons.
