Cheats! Cheats everywhere!

I have received 17 rating refund messages from chess.com in the last 2 weeks, isn't this insane? why do so many ppl cheat?

i mean i know cheatcing is bad

but you just lose some points and then you gain them back right

no doubt it's bad, the cheater is wasting his own time and his opponent's too.

oh

once I lost nearly 200 rating points to a cheater and only 50 was refunded

in one match

no i kept playing them lolz i lost 18 games in a row believe me

This is why the ratings here can't be taken seriously. I just play my games. I've had refunds on points, too, and I could pretty much tell when I was playing them that there was something fishy the way they sliced and diced me up with strange moves in a 3 minute blitz game. I don't know how they cheat on a 3 minute blitz but sometimes it's obvious they do. Run an analysis and a 1100 player runs 97%+ with the computer.

Another worthwhile question is : Why are they so bad at it?
