You are not anonymous just because you are using a screen name.  Pseudo-anonymous, maybe.

A lot of people in the chess world I know offline know this is my account even without me plastering my name all over it.  If it was closed for cheating you bet your ass it would make me look bad to all those people.

Then you are not really (pseudo)anonymous, are you?

Some people know that I have a chess.com account but they don't know which one, so if I get banned for cheating and profanity and satanic rituals it will only affect "Irontiger" 's reputation.

No, I am not anonymous and neither are a lot of other people here.  That's why the cheaters list was such a bad idea.

If you think cheaters list is an indictable offence, what do you think about this?

I see no real difference.

I don't think it's so obvious none of them have cheater in their description!

  1. Also not a staff member.
  2. Not you, either (just in case you suspected some untoward reference).
  3. Chess.com decided to hide his identity, and I am not about to expose it, either.

what no cheaters? so fritz says everyone plays like gary kasparov until they are a piece up and then makes a few token mistakes? chess.com assumes only 2000 + rated players cheat, inviting everyone else to use chess engines to kabitz. I have a good idea when I am playing a computer and analyze my games with fritz when I'm done. When someone with a rating of 1400 plays the best move in 40 out of 45 moves it is obviously because they ate some wheaties for breakfast... or maybe, just maybe, they are cheating.
