If so (and even if not), I am a man, and would say the same, except that I'd phrase it just a tiny touch more carefully so that the listener doesn't incorrectly infer that I find all men who play chess attractive.
The way I read it , David , is that she spoke about men in general and she means all men. I think she's a good blind-player herself and uses intuition to chose her man rather than sight.
But hee , you weren't asking me so forget this.
