What do you do beside chess?

Hi,

We are all chess players of various strenght but what else are you interested in?

I play video games (PS3 and soon PS4) and enjoy scrabbles games with friends. I've a passion for litterature fantastical mostly.

What about you?

These days? Spend time with my girlfriend, listen to music, and play/study poker. 

  I play some guitar but not lately. My acoustic developed some structural problems that can't be fixed so I'm on hiatus until I get another.
  I started kayaking last year and bought a kayak last spring. It's a whole lot of fun. I also backpack when I get a chance.
  I used to play a lot of Red Orchestra but I'm moving away from that and spending more time on chess.
  There are a couple other hobbies I dabble in occasionally. I started learning to carve wood and I collect minerals and pretty rocks.

If I didn't have to work for a living I might even get good at one of my hobbies. As it is, there's only so much time and too much to do.

But I'm having fun.

I shoot and blow things up.

Well, after I finished modifying my Firespray interceptor, Slave 1, I decided to get out of the bounty hunting business and pursue something a little more....socially acceptable. Art.

In 07 I had a botched back surgery so I'm disabled. I watch a lot of TV, movies etc. I read a lot and listen to music. Surf the net. And now play chess online. Not very exciting, but I had more of that than most in my younger days :)

Chew gum and walk.  With difficulty sometimes.

I sit and think about chess when not playing chess.

Video games (especially retro ones) and computers (again, especially, but not just, retro ones).

Read, primarily hard boiled detective fiction, and study mathematics.

I give a lot of motivational speeches.

always good to meet an alike person. i feel nothing but great respect for all people who choose to spend their free time alcohol/substance-free. it might seem extremely hard in today's society (especially if someone was a heavy drinker, like me) but that's precisely what makes you a strong and special person.

Read, write, watch anime and read some manga! Attempt to learn Japanese, which is very slow going. I even dabble is a few asian related board/card games such as Go, Shogi and Riichi Mahjong.

I work, take care of my son and hubby....go shopping w the girls, have manicures and pedis lol average lady stuff I guess
