What if a girl became World Chess Champion?

The world chess championship is not a beauty contest. If a woman won the crown, she would have to win both the Candidate's Tournament and the World Championship Match, defeating the encumbent champion. If anyone accomplishing those feats, regardless of gender, then they deserve the title of World Champion. If it ever happens, it certainly would upset a lot of mysogynistic SOBs.

I wasn't the one posting outragoues things hoping to get a rise out of people. Gender discrimination is a real thing and hardly something to be joked about.
With Muslims around and most religions, gender discrimination will last a few thousand years in most countries.

I'd like to see it. Unfortunately, Polgar didn't make to quite that high... into the top ten, but not into the top two... and none of the current group of woman players really looks like a WCC contender.

I read Magnus was doing fashion photo shoots and calendars and what not. Thats not bad publicity for the game either. Not really any different to a female tennis player advertising a perfume, or doing a magazine photo shoot. Magnus has been good for the game, I just feel a woman champ would take it on even further.
All this said, I have to agree with blueemu, can't see a female contender on the horizon.
