"There is no official or confirmed IQ score for Magnus Carlsen, as he has never publicly disclosed or taken a recognized IQ test. Hes rich and gets paid huge sums to play chess, he basically has one of the best lives you could possibly ask for. Its irrelevant he's likely alittle above the average..
Chess will not decide anyone's overall IQ. Solving a chess problem should not be compared to calculus or geometry. Carlsens way of playing chess is limited to chess itself. It need not be like if I solve complex mathematical problems then I can also become like grandmaster and vice I solve a sudoku problem in a minute then it doesn't mean I will solve complex geometry problem in a minute. IQ and EQ encompass many things and not just chess.

Magnus has said he's never taken an IQ test. This is one of the reasons I like him. How does the Internet make such a determination? Magnus has said he doesn't even know. Furthermore, IQ tests are likely flawed. I've never taken one & never will. Even if the test told me I was a genius, I'd likely dismiss it as whatever.
