This was an actual USCF rated game I played against an adult. At the time, I was rated around 1600 and my opponent was 1750.
What is the quickest chess tournament game you have played?
winning so far (by the way, ECO N58 always wins, especially in round 121 of a tournament)with 5 moves!!
once played a league game and my oponent lost using 4 min each. Akso in a rated tournament my 1800 adult opponent had a blind spot
It was a disastrous tournament after that game. I went 0-5, losing to a player rated 900 in the last round. The good part was that the event was right after my first date with my wife. By blaming her for that 0-5, I get to play in the Collyer Memorial every year. In 2012, I placed second behind IM John Donaldson, and pocketed $250. This year I tied for fifth.
Oh yeah, a real classic. lol Then I had to walk around this fake lake at the rec center where we were playing for about 4 hours waiting for the next round to start up (going back in the place every once in a while to see how my buddies were doing with their actual full-length games).
off topic but do you think white is lost but he can save the game with an astounding tactical shot but i cant say if its a draw or a win for white
I saw it on the cover of Seirawan's Winning Chess Strategies in 1996, and have played it several dozen times since.
Just played this game less than a week ago! The blog post explains everything:
