Hiya, I'm hoping to study chess more seriously in preparation for when on the board tournaments start so I can join my university chess club with some more deep knowledge of the game. I am currently rated 850-950 on chess.com. I have very good knowledge of chess openings such as dutch, french, catalan, queens gambit (accepted is my favourite
), London, English etc.. I have quite good opening knowledge for my level at least and can identify where my opponents go wrong in the opening quite often, but find it difficult to convert positional or even say a pawn or piece advantage without slipping up. Any books 'preferably ones you can afford on a student budget' to enhance my overall game because I feel I can study more exact reactions to moves in openings more easily without an investment. Would also love to get a puzzle book my puzzle level is around 1100. Any recommendations or scrutinies are appreciated.
