Look at every check, every capture, every move.
What was the best advice given to you in chess

666AAA666,
I have played only a few blindfold games and one i won by checkmate by setting a trap.
reading books blind is more exciting than reading them with a board which is useless.
"blindfold chess is the shortest way to the lunatic asylum"
Im not sure if he really said it, but in some book they wrote that morphy said those words to one of his friends.

i think one advice is too small to be the best...most especially as a beginner.what do you think guys/

lol...do suck that @tetsuoshima">much?@tetsuoshima
You dont play chess, chess plays you.
and you don´t sac pawn, pawn sacs you

A player of 1600 can play blind? In which world?
i wonder too

its not as hard as you think in fact christiansoldier (a membere rated 800-1000) at the time regularly played blindfold against others on this site and hes right if you cant do it most time is cause your tactical skills are well below average.

What’s so unbelievable about a 1600 playing blind? The biggest obstacle is having the patience to make a mental image of the position. I doubt the 1600s are playing blitz blind.

I hardly ever use tactic trainer and being a basic member of this site I can only do 3 a day compared to the amount your able to do a day dont you think its common sense to not even go by that and you cant do it cause you probably dont have patience as qrayons suggested or as schletcher suggest your tactical vision isnt as good as you think.

if thought it were common sense to not even go by that, i would hardly have done it don´t you think??
When you look at the board, analysing without moving the pieces (the best advice I ever got!!!) then it is only a small step to gain the capability to not use the board at all, since when you analyse, then after 5 moves (serious analysis needs the skill to follow at least SOME lines in the variant tree for 5 moves) the situation is changed completely, so the look at the (old) board is not much of a help.
Note, we are not talking about the GMS here, ALL of them can play simultaneously SEVERAL blind games (Aliekhine played more than 20, the world record is much higher; I would like to know what the current record is !). Mere mortals like us (Elo rating up to 2200) will have difficulties to play more than two games at the same time. If we play more (here I am talking about myself) than two blind games simultaneously, then we can get a headache quickly, or even a stroke !
I am again guessing that this ability (of GMs) is not a gift, but just a byproduct of the serious analysis on chess positions that they perform eevery day.
