However... That doesn't really show you're good at chess

say "Hey. i play chess" boom you got a girl

Usually @knightscape007 makes forums like these as a joke, so he's probably not actually going to use this with girls. As for the pick up line, I have no ideas.

Come on guys, be honest, if you are thinking about chess lines without *very* carefully selecting your target girl, you are hosed.  I taught my daughter to play chess.  She walked into the HS chess club one day, looked at the acne and sausage fest and walked right out.  *If* you very carefully select the right girl, for whom a chess line could work, then hopefully just being yourself will work even better.
