My opinion I think chess players are best at problem solving. I have realized ever since I started playing chess my actual problem solving skills have increased. What about everyone else? What do you think is strongest in a chess player?

The strongest thing in a chess player is the ability to analyze a situation quickly and be able to respond just as quickly and accurately yet be able to maintain everything around them.

with no-stress because not only are you used to reacting to situations quickly, but also to analyzing them in the best possible way. It's about pre-moving everything and let the opponent and chess speaks for itself. If you've seen the pattern, you'll even play blindfolded.

For learning and improving?

Bloody-minded stubborness.

Sir Winston Churchill used to point out that one key ingredient for eventual success was the ability to go from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.

Open mind. Good chess players are willing to consider any move no matter how absurd it may look at first.

Stubbornness and mentality. The sheer focus and willpower it takes to study hundreds of openings, thousands of lines, endgame strategies, tactics, etc. As well as the proper mentality to remain calm in the most strenuous of circumstances.
