Will chess.com be covering the PIPI Invitational Tournament?

Alramech

Unfortunately, if the PIPI Invitational does occur then Chess.com will almost certainly not cover it due to the fact they closed one of the subject accounts due to Fair Play violations

This website is shallow and pedantic sad.png

Well, I figure it's probably correct for Chess.com issued a lifetime ban against him.  I don't think it would make sense for them to sponsor or support a match like that in any way.  However, there will be plenty of other places which would gladly and quickly cover said PIPI Invitational if it were to happen. happy.png

Pretty sure it won't happen.  I haven't seen anything from So or Petrosian indicating they are going to have a grudge match.  If does occur, it certainly wouldn't be covered by ChessDotCom as Danny Rensch has explicitly stated that they won't cover such publicity involving a member they closed for Fair Play violations.

Dang.

Yeah it probably won't happen, at least by chess.com tear.png

So would just slap Petrosian around the board anyway. He's in the final 4 of the bracket of the best speed players in the world. That's online of course but he's also way better in otb.
