@DenverHigh,
I have not had any issues with "Add Manager" before, but I run the Ad Blocker Plus add-on (same as in Firefox). I have never had any issues with ads and pop-ups from Chess.com or any other site. I recommend next time you load Chrome, use this plug-in and see of it makes a difference.

Chrome is my main browser, but I also use Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera for testing purposes.
I've also come across, "torch" and "waterfox" which are pretty cool :)
DenverHigh,
I'm not quite sure what that is? Have you tried removing it if it is an add-on?
You could also look for it using CCleaner and try removing it that way?
I've never really had any problems with Chrome.
All you guys that use Chrome must be as happy as I used to be.
Every time I used Chrome shortly it accepts some "Ads manager.com" this son of a gun post an ad that is controll by the "add manager."
The only way I can get rid of it, is to delete CHROME. I bypass all the question they ask why I am deleting it and I reload it and it works for a while until I have to delete it again. So now I use IE.
I always run CCleaner every time I shut down my laptop. It cleans everything in a few seconds. Anybody have the "ADD manager.com" problem?
I've asked Chess.com they didn't come up with anything but really weren't interested at all. It must be happening only to me when I use Chrome.
Here, in Iran, we don't have any ads! Most of these sites are filtered!
I use Firefox and Chrome more or less equally.
I heard so much bashing about IE coming from people more competent than me that I sheepishly followed the trend, and now I'm accustomed to these two's UI.

This was a big problem for me a while back, as I said. I tried everything but had to wipe the hard drive due to other problems I was having, whether they were caused by the File Manager or something else. I have found with Windows that the hard drive has to be wiped every few months in order for the computer to work most efficiently. You could try System Restore if you haven't already. I think System Restore is a great idea but it doesn't go back far enough.
Internet Explorer 8, and I also use CCleaner before shut down. Never (almost never) had any problem with IE8. Can't understand why people hate it so much.
Also, apparently, allegedly, purportedly, as rumour has it nearly all malware comes from dodgy (i.e. porn) web sites....not that I'm in any way implying....anything....
So, staying away from 'nasty' web sites = clean computer. (In so many ways.)
Anyways, movin' on....I also never install updates on IE8. Ever. In the past I've found that programs are often a 'bag of w**k' after an update.
does anybody here use a mac to play? i am getting my first one in the mail and I want to know if it as good as a pc

Actually Opera is very good. No idea what the "looks f*cking stupid" reference is about - it looks pretty much the same as any other browser.
Maybe, I never tried it.
Anyways, it is not like it was a serious post.
@ DE FRANC:
I do have Chrome but I don't use it on Chess.com because that is where it picks up the "add.manager.com" problem.
I have IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome. Because I create webpages and test them on the four major browsers.
@EscherehcsE:
I tried that but then it didn't work. So I had to click the third party cookies on manaully.
I sure don't want to erase everything and re-install. That is a lot of work.
I am content usin the newest Internet Explorer doesn't give any problems on Chess.com.
I guess I use my laptop only on 6 sites. Everytime I sign off I clear all cache and temp files using CCleaner. I run TRUSTEER program that my bank gave for all my sites. It is supposed to check all site for malware.
Thank for the suggestions.
