i think the queen is the strongest
Hi all..
few people asked me about this and all believe it's the rook..
I was planning to ask y'all about this..
what do you think? I think every piece has it's importance but umm .I need an answer
Yeah, that's a really hard question. I know the standard values are 1, 3, 3, 5, 9, but I can't remember which one of those numbers is larger or smaller.

Rook for sure
Knights/bishop are pretty equal value for me personally. I do not mind trading either one for another
in an end game, I prefer a knight than a bishop, the knight can go on 64 position, the bishop only 32
to answer the question like it is asked without a doubt the rook
But the bishop can control from far
It really depends on the position, but generally i would say rook: you can mate with king and rook but not with king and bishop or knight alone

Let's set every piece one after another on the center (e4)
At center, Queen has 27 moves, Rook has 14 moves, Bishop has 13 moves, Knight and King has 8 moves and pawn has 1 move.
Therefore, Here is the order: Q>R>B>N>K>P
1) Queen
2) Rook
3) Bishop
4) Knight
[Bishops and Knights are sometimes considered of equal values (but I disagree)]
5) King
6) Pawn
So, according to this, Rook is the next strongest piece after Queen.
no its king, queen, pawn, rook, bishop, knight
I too disagree
I personally think the knight is the best (after queen) since it moves like no other piece the ways it can be used are endless
I think Rook is the second strongest piece after queen
I kinda disagree. Don't forget about diagonal X out. So Rook and bishop = almost queen. Well. Here I am not talking about knight.
Why don't you choose 9 queens then?
