I got my FIDE classical/standard rating first before getting my rapid/blitz rating, meaning I was unrated in both of them while I had a rating for standard. However, when I played a rapid and blitz event (rated) and went to check out my ratings today, I discovered that they used my standard rating as my Ro (original rating) as a benchmark instead of calculating it as how they do for unrated players. I read the ratings regulations on the FIDE website, but the best I could find was "7.1.4 A rating for a player new to the list shall be published when it is based on 5 games against rated opponents."
I thought that these 3 time controls are independent of one another. Anyone can be so kind to explain? Thank you
