Honestly it’s because they kinda do, when I was 1000 people were blundering all the time and plenty of time were of the queen
why do people think so lowly about 1000 elo?

That can't be true. M1 and fork blunders are common at 1200-1300, so they must be common at 1000.

Guess people are having a lot of fun w this topic bc it's funny to talk about blunders lol. Point taken, but I wish there was a little more attention given to the fact that yes, people are too hard on 1000s.

Yeah, when you coach beginners, you'll be shocked at how bad they are... it's really hard to imagine unless you were a beginner not so long ago, or you do coaching.
But there's the same sort of thing for 800-1000 rated players... you'll be shocked at how good they are. They usually develop their pieces, castle. They know some basic tactics and their play is recognizable as someone who knows some stuff about chess.

The OP's game that was posted was a reasonable game I don't know what the OP means with "lowly" but I'll assume he means contemptuous". Almost all class-level blitz players frequently make blunders which instantly lose the game. Players with an elo of 1000 are easily capable of playing solid chess, the real difference between them and a 1500 level player is that their endgames are typically the worst part of their game and that they lack consistency in the quality of their play from game to game. Anyone who puts on airs, based on ratings, is a fool.
