Once there are moves, it isn’t the starting position anymore. So, it’s like you and your opponent changed the position my moving and turned custom. And it is not a particular opening, so it says custom position, there you go! Hope this helps. And if I’m wrong just correct me 😑

I also have this problem. The opening explorer has broken for me, idk why.

yeah, I have the same problem as well. What I though is maybe they are trying to hide opening name so as to prevent people from knowing their position are still in theory?? I'm so confused
Lol.... This site has gotten complacent thinking it's the only platform for CHESS chess... I probably won't even play games here anymore how bad it is. I'm just a normie, and if that's my sentiment, they've already lost a lot of the even more-normal normies

This happened to me just now as well. Completely standard game. I was black, if that's important.
