Why does under promotion exist?

Why would I settle for a Toyota over a Lambo? Other than bming your opponents or practicing the knight rook checkmate pattern there is no actual point of choosing anything over the Queen. We need to make an official change to this asap.

Underpromotion is done to avoid stalemate (or sometimes to a knight for tactical reasons).

if you have solved even some simple studies or compositions you would know why. likely you haven't. each piece is unique and situations call for squares not to be controlled in order to actually win. if i could select which squares the queen can relinquish control of and make it so that she has the ability of a knight, then sure, no need for other pieces.
