They abandon on LiChess too... I would guess it is because the win is classified as "a time win." This might mean losing fewer points if you are the loser or gaining fewer points for the winner.

Y’all need to seriously calm down. Like, admit it most if not all of us abandoned a game b4 out of rage at least once. Also don’t insult other ppl about it. There literally is a button when reporting someone saying “stalling/quitting games”

I abandon the game when my phone crashed I haven't disconnected I think in months (if ever I don't usually obandon I don't remember the last time I abandoned other then bye bye Wi-Fi or battery )

See, Good and bad people exists everywhere. You can't blame whole nationality for some. Otherwise it's not like Americans or players from other countries don't abandon their games.

PartofShiv

Should everyone create forums after forums for this then. Just report it and move on. It's their weakness that they can't take a lose. You ain't a loser anyways.

PartofShiv

Examples... Should I also create such a forum saying Why do Americans, French, Canadian and German people abandon their games instead of resigning?? But I won't do it cause I don't generalize the whole nation due to some bad people from that country. Hope you understand.

Well said @PartofShiv.

if your opponent abandon game one time i will let it pass but couple of times or most of the time then it is but human nature to react.

it is so happened that it has become a habit.

Does the winner get more points for checkmate, resignation or abandonment?

I think it's the same for both on chess.com

Relax, everybody. It’s just stereotypes. It used to be if Americans were losing they’d order a drone strike on you. If Russians were losing they’d invade your country. If Ukrainians were losing they’d ask to borrow 50 BUSD. If Indians were losing they’d hack into the computer and made sure you lost. If Canadians were losing they’d crack a Molsen and beat you with a hockey stick. If Mexicans were losing they’d try to postpone the game until mañana, ees good enough for me.

None of the above is accurate in the slightest. They’re just silly stereotypes. What are some more American stereotypes? We’re such good targets.

As a Certified American Drone™ (CAD) I can confirm

I have reported the maker of this forum, and I tell others to do so... Such forums about politics must be discouraged

KalyanSrinidhi

Also not only Indians... some other countries do this. No names

what did he do that you had him or her reported? and for what reasons?

i think he was just asking a legit question about his past game experience.

and by the way,you don't tell others ; you ask them!

The thread is saying that those of Indian descent always abandon the game rather than resign when they are losing. This is racist and childish.
