has anyone else noticed how smart this george1st is?
You got something against geniuses I see.

The problem is simple and you see it time and time again. Learning how to play chess makes young males extremely attractive to young females at which point the young males no longer have any time for chess.

If only that were true....
There are too many posts here to read. So, I'm just going to give my 2 cents:
We live in the video game/internet/instant gratification period of time. Chess demands patience, hard work, study. There are no cheat codes, there is no instant mastery.
Because it sucks? :)
Why are you here? I dont' undertand you. You keep getting in these forums with your crappy attitude, putting down people who play chess well, leave groups who dare tell you you need to study to improve, then you come back. Really. You've not said a good word about chess; this site only makes you frustrated and angry. Maybe chess is not the activity for you. On a personal note, we've spoken a time or two, so you seem like a good enough person -- but you and chess don't seem to jive. Why are you here?

I don't undertandwhat you mean when you say I put down people who play chess well. When did I leave a group or any other thing, and then come back, etc.?
Maybe "put down" was a little harsh, but I do remember the topic you started, "Don't you guys get bored here yakking about chess all the time"; and you left the U1200 group because you became frustrated with the admin there. I mean ... seriously ... I don't mean to attack. I sometimes do when I get passionate, but unless I am really angry, or really don't like someone, or on the chessboard, I try not to. None of those apply here, so my apologies for sounding harsh. It's just that most of what I see from you in forum posts, you seem disatisfied and frustrated with chess. What we do in our free time should be positive and fun. I'm sure I was argumentative -- my passions got away from me again -- my apolgies -- but really, do you like chess? Do you enjoy the time you spend on chess.com?
You don't have to answer those questions, least of all to me. And, I don't want to start a conversation between the two of us on someone else's thread -- I consider that rude -- I just think that you're an ok person but you seem so frustrated. I get that way with my video games sometimes, and I have to remind myself, "Look, dummy, if you're not enjoying yourself, do something different!" If you're not enjoying yourself, take a break, man! If you are enjoying yourself or if you feel I'm out of line, tell me to STFU and I'll harbor no hard feelings.
Again, sorry if I came on heavy-handed.

If you're not enjoying yourself. Write less, and read more posts.
Then you won't always come out of left field. Just like the Star Trek episode to which you are fully dedicated.
Unless we took the Evelyn Woodhead "Sped Reddin' Course," there's no way we can keep up with the Captain's posts.
So we're forced to SUM UP. And just get's everyone blocked, by @Matthew11.

I quit that group cause I can't stand that Big Puke, or what ever his handle is. I see you're not in it either.
Chrisr2212: I freely admit I am a jerk...but I am not a mean person...if you and I had five minutes alone, you would never let me go. Rock on Galic!
