Why It's Time for Me to Quit Chess

You're not a good looking guy lol. Just accept that. Your profile looks like a camel.
Can you actually stop? Nobody really cares about what you're saying and it's kinda toxic at this point.
If you can't I will ask a chess.com moderator if he can do anything

There is an alternative to everything, even breathing. I think a lot of people give up chess more than once. I call it taking a break. A break could last 10 years. I try to figure how deep I want to get into something before I do it. It usually don't work because I am compulsive obsessive. It is a different chess world today than it was when I liked chess too much. I went to the Wayne State Univ. chess club that was led by Newel Banks, most famous for checkers from years before that. I am not saying computers did not make chess interesting, but you was more on your own with it back then. The chess stuff on Youtube is quite interesting, but it does not encourage me to get back into chess. I did hear a comment on this site that you should be a 1500 player before you play speed chess. I think speed chess is its own thing. Anybody can try to play it, and even weak players can have higher ratings than in slow chess. I cannot say it would ruin your chess game. It could be your only chess game. Everybody don't want to spend 5-6 hours sitting at a chess board. I remember, win or lose I felt drained. After I spent 7 hours defending a draw I thought to myself, why bother? Then it was off to the Commerce casino. I once won a 3 round postal tournament. I started it during Viet Nam, and it took 9 years to finish. I was not the best player but I won. Some good players passed away. It was a military postal club. I in fact miss those days. I miss being able to go out and do anything social without coming home sick. It is part of daily life now, but I wish it wasn't. There are so many things you can do. Back in the 80s I knew a lot of good chess players that played backgammon. Paul Whitehead my friend played backgammon, a 2500 player. And today many chess players try poker, its just more money. Maybe more ladies and more travel. If you are bright and want to get out of poverty, it may be a chance. Giving it up is not a big deal. If you was never good at it, that is not a big deal. I knew many lifetime class A players. They still played for most of their life.

I call that "gobbledygook"......deep sounding gobbledygook maybe
You might need to read a little Thomas Merton to understand the basic principle he's talking about.

You have the right to hate on it

I've had a very productive past couple of days with this and have made a lot of strides psychologically. To make a long story short. People can do whatever they want from now on and I'm just focusing on improvement.
0-0-0 was a mouseslip.
Wow good for you, welcome back to reality and out of your crazy imagination of ladies

I actually have no use for Sarte, or many of the other intellectuals. They are great minds, I have not found them to offer much advice to survive and make money. Sarte has some things to say about art. I did study art, but I found little use for fine art. I did
find that art knowledge could lead to useful job skills. I have never owned a car or have driven a car, simple thing most people do, but I am poor and in Thailand public transportation is cheap. The one good thing about chess is you can play for free. Youtube is pretty much free. Poverty is not a bad thing if you can live within your limits. I think most things you should stay within your limits, and don't waste too much time worrying about it.

It is for most people on this planet cause they didn't eat enough of something. Or ate too much of something that rots the box. Only God knows.
I think you have a great point about chess. All these people saying, “don’t play blitz”, “do more studying,” etc, but to what end? You make it to 1500, but then you say I gotta get to 2000! Maybe you do that, and then what? It’s never ending. Morphy was right…”wasted life,”
enjoy you kids and family
Who told you that you were good looking? LOL
Nobody. But who told you that you were good looking?
Many people in both my professional and private life. Many women.
bro i legit dont even believe a single thing u just said
Because you're a failure and the idea of someone possessing talent, looks, or intelligence is simply not possible to you.
As if there's not one single legitimately good looking guy out here just because you're not one of them.
I honest to god bet you're not even an adult
Nobody cares about your opinion or the apparent "women" you've been talking about
