Why was my post deleted?

A couple of days ago I posted asking if anyone knew why my higher rated opponent was awarded 17 points for a win against me in a 15+2 game when normally our 20 point rating difference would mean he only gained 8 points. (We’re both in the 700 range.) Chess.com appears to have deleted this post. I’m just confused and still wondering a) what was wrong with the original post, and b) why this opponent was awarded 17 points for beating a lower rated player!

You mean this post?

At any rate, there are multiple parts of the rating formula on Chess.com.

The first depends on the ratings difference between the players .

The second is a statistical measure of a member's rating accuracy. In general , new ratings are very inaccurate. The more often you play, the more accurate your rating gets.

So, without seeing the game, if someone got 17 points or 170 points, the statistical measure, called the RD, is involved.

That's really strange. I'm not seeing my original post in the list!

But thanks for your answer.

It is because your opponent didn’t play enough games, as just be fair said. Well, if the post was deleted, a admin or chess.com staff might have deleted it
