With a rating of exactly 1500 where do I belong?

I'm a slow thinker ( if you can speak of 'thinking' in my case ) so I don't really prefer sudden death time controls. However I have decided that I will not take on normal time controls in a more serious manner unless I have established an acceptable rating in sudden death and lightning. I know that there is a tournament category '1500+' which is deemed to be relatively advanced so my goal was to reach this category in every quick time control. In lightning I'm 1501, so it is ok, but in sudden death I'm exactly 1500. I would like to know with a rating of fifteen-zero-zero in which category do I belong.

watcha  you belong where you are now.  Different time controls--different ratings.

Above 1499 and below 1501.

Let's put it more simply:

can I participate in an 1500+ tournament with a rating of exactly 1500 ?

Sure, why not?

Because 1500+ says to me: 'above 1500'. And 1500 is not above 1500.

I think there is a message that pops up on your screen and tells you your rating is too high to join the tournament if it is too high, so really there's no guesswork.

You just click to join it and if it lets you, then you're good to go.
