You Should Be Forced to Resign

I enjoyed being Sydney Greenstreet, and I also enjoy marveling at natural anomalies.  Either way, I'm stoked. Smile

These guys seem pretty relaxed. Could have been them.

how would you even measure points? by material, or by computer eval? you can be down a lot of material and have compensation, and the computer eval is sometimes incorrect as well (for example in some opposite colored bishop endgames or special cases where there is a large material deficit but a fortress has been built) not to mention both of them being horribly inpractical if they did make sense

There's also these weird things (known as "rat kings"):

Hey, pay attention!  We're not even talking about that crap anymore!

falcogrine

Rats, Google actually knows my name! (See how it all ties together)?

I was young, and thought I was in love, it seemed a good idea at the time, what could it hurt, right?  I could always delete it later, right?  And their motto was, "Don't be Evil" or something.

Those were crazy times, you never knew how long your next download would take, people grabbed onto what they could.  A bit of stability in a rapidly changing world, it seemed safe enough.

If only we had realized how we would regret it when the zombie apocalypse begins. . . .

Sssstttt.... Everything is going to be fine... one day. Wink

petermh5, you are the dumbest and most ignorant person i have ever met. Not only will u not consider the refutaions, but will not even listen to reason. This rule would cause more draws and kill chess. All the GM's hard work would be nil. u must inderstand that chess is not flawed, but your rule is.

Petermh5

My rule isn't flawed. If it were, I think that someone in the last nine pages of comments would have attempted to refute it. That should be clear enough. You are the dumb and ignorant one, not I. Perhaps you should give the thread a quick reread and see that reception of my rule has met little negative feedback excluding some spam from trolls.

What exactly are you trying to say? Are you really going to criticize me, the OP, in my own thread? I think I detect some poorly managed jealousy.

I don't think anyone is jealous of you.

falcogrine

One thing that suprises me is that when peter said Kasparov was the best player in the world, nobody argued with it. Probably because they focused on the other parts. Still, it is amazing that petermh5 of all people would be able to create a consensus about who was the best chess player,

Excellent job Falcogrine on your example and the game to prove it.

and if peter doesn't like it if his opponents don't resign if a stale wind blows, he can resign and move on to another game or he take his mouse and click elsewhere on the intarwebs.

and peter if you can get the rules of chess to bow to you, can you do something about that pesky gravity thing too that keeps water moving down.

kco

Yes is does seem to be.
