- Have ever just stopped moving and let your time run out when in losing position, hoping that your opponents will quit?
- When in a losing position, Do you sometimes just log off or close the app/website without resigning?
- Do you abort games because you really wanted to play as white but you got the black pieces or did not like your opponent’s rating?
It’s all bad sportsmanship.
Chess.com will quite rightly block you if you do it.
The reason the user lets his time run out or logs off is that he is hoping that by wasting his opponents time, he will get frustrated and quit so he then can claim the win. If this is not his intention then he surely would just press the resign button. But he doesn't, he would rather waste his opponents time in the hope of getting some undeserved rating points.
This practice is seen to be unethical the majority of the playing chess public

well I do that in many games and opponents often quit rather than wait for the time win. it's a reliable method to victory
But not an ethical method to victory.
you are very brave to admit to violating the fair play policy in such a public forum.
You will get caught eventually.

if you see my other forums, my account is already restricted which people agree is ridiculous. my methods to victory are pretty effective
But your method is still in violation of the fair policy you agreed to when you created your account.
If you keep violating the Fairplay policy you eventually will be put into a special player pool you will only be able to play other cheaters/time wasters.

I may already be in that stupid pool though it's not fair
I know it feels unfair that you are not allowed to cheat or violate the fair play policy and get away with it.
If you just follow the same rules as everyone else then you won't get into trouble and life will feel fairer.

But those games were not won fairly.
How would you feel if you were playing chess online, and every time your opponent was losing he just stop playing and you had to sit there and wait until his time ran out?
Would you be happy or sad?

There is apparently a bug with the Sportsmanship Policy. Developers are aware and looking into it.

Ok, well then that is the way it is then.
Just remember that if you keep on playing unfairly, then you will only be allowed to play other naughty players who play unfairly, or you will get banned and never will be able to play chess online ever again.

how do you know this? is it published anywhere, or is just word of mouth?

But then you have start from the beginning again.

I found out the full bug should be fixed on Thursday. You might be able to contact support to get that reset, though if you flag the policy it will happen again until it gets fixed.
