Good question! I like this one.
So say you are playing... a 900 rated player in daily. You beat him, and it gives your 10 points. Then you go against someone else, who is a 1400 rated player, and you beat her, and then you gain 30 points. The reason for this is the higher the player's rating, the more points you'll win and less points you'll lose. (if loss) And then it is vise-versa for a lower rated player. When you draw, if the opponent is 900, you'll lose 3 and if the opponent is 1400, you'll win 3. So it all depends what rating you, and he/she is.
