Yeah, being banned for something on Live Chess takes a LOT.

like what?  give me an example.

Probably something in the category of your mother, and by calling her the name she usually goes by when working. And logically as you being a son of "your mother", you've inherited at least a well fitting title.

And, the minors themselves (and whether or not they like offensive language).

The miners surf internet while they're supposed to be working? Does OSHA know?

Data mining.

The data miners are looking for gold on the internet.  You just have to know where in the tubes to look.

This forum amuses me. The question is: "who defines bad language". I am thinking of a four letter word that is used a zillion times on German TV and also in Europe, but that is considered the worst possible language in the US. This site is an international site, and "morals" (whatever that may be), "political correctness" (whatever that may be), and the like, are very subjective entities. I don't think that anyone should be banned for using language in any way, unless he/she is clearly insulting another member. And by the way, there is no need to protect "children" in this respect. They know all the bad language and use it.

If bad language is okay to use, then why do we call it "bad"?

Because people are controlled by socio-economic pressures from a church that has dictated life for nearly 2000 year ... I still catch myselg saying "Oh my God" although I know there is no such thing.

@Publisherseeker: Religious discussion is to stay out of the main forums.

Publisherseeker- God or no God, bad language is still bad, and there are no excuses.

That is not a religious discussion, that was a statement to explain. Whatecver you want to interpret is your problem

It is religious discussion, as you claimed something debatable about religion as fact.

@Publisherseeker: Absolutely correct, and in so doing, you have potentially offended many people, while implying that you are completely apathetic to that. This is why religious discussion is to stay out of the main forums.

That's no surprise, since you always take the opposing side of mine in anything I do.

It's just a shortcut to always being correct.

You should try it.
