If the chess board won't show on the screen, but everything else loads perfectly, then what could be the problem?   I heard it has something to do about javascript but then how do u implement that?

Hi dyd1712.  Your browser needs to have java enabled.

Check this forum (help & support) for Erik's post on this same topic.  Here are his recommendations:

If you are having problems using the site, please run this test (http://www.cyscape.com/showbrow.aspx) and then answer these questions:

1) what browser/version are you using?

2) SessionCookies? = true or false

3) JavaScriptEnabled? = true or false

4) Firewall? = true or false

5) Width/height = (numbers)

6) Broadband? = true or false

7) Platform (OS) = (win, mac, etc)

That would REALLY help! :)

Good luck!

If you are using Internet Explorer or FireFox: make sure you have JavaScript enabled. Then try itting "control+R" to do a hard refresh. If that doesn't work, go to the TOOLS menu at the top of your browser and clear your local temporary internet files.

f you are using Safari: unfortunately, the Safari browser does not fully support all JavaScript. You have 2 options: First, try FireFox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html) - it will work for sure. Second, try the latest version of the Safari browser (http://www.apple.com/safari/download/ - currently BETA version 3.0.3) - that will most likely solve the problem.

Please let us know if you still need help!

I am running win98 & IE 6. I have Java JIT compiler enabled. The Java console & the Java logging are not ticked. Help please!

well it worked for me when I delete the internet files and then press Ctrl+R, though I had to do it frequently.  But it works nowSmile

you don't need java to play against others in turn-base chess, just javascript. and yes, hitting control+R is the way to go if you ever get weird problems anywhere on the internet :) also, try firefox! it rules!
