Chess.com charged me $99 after my free trial was up

I sent them an email last week regarding my membership I have yet to receive anything. So you should seat tight cause you’re going to wait a while.

You will get your refund. Chess.com have always done so. All accounts folk are working from home so it will take a little longer just be patient.
ps. next time do not give out your credit card details if you do not want to be charged.. No-one but you handed the details over.
ketoon, No i didnt cancel it before it charged me. Thought it would charge me 8 bucks after the trial was up. But $100 is ridiculous. I cant afford to pay that much. Its pretty shady for them to do this. Like i said, i cant believe i fell for it
Lagomorph, i hope they do get it back to me. And yes, i know i gave them my credit card. I should have been more careful. I have payed for monthly games lots in the past and havent had this happen. You just get to where you expect them not to try to dupe you. Will definitely not mindlessly let my self get taken advantage of again

Its like any free trial. It is up to you to cancel before the grace period ends. When i sign up for anything thats a free trial. The very next day i go in and cancel it. That way I get the free period, and know i wont be charged when it ends.
