Chess.com app language?

I haven't used the chess app in a while, but I was quite disappointed when I recently opened it up to find that it looks like the entire interface was written by a pre-teen that was taught english by the internet.

Is there an explanation for this? How do I change it back to... English? The language settings say that's what I have selected. I can't find any settings that would explain this terrible selection for wording.
The current state of the interface is enough to make me NOT want to play chess with this app.

Choose your preferred language in Settings/General/Language

I checked that and it is set to English, but it isn't English, it is terrible and annoying 12 year old gamer BFF speak... There is no option that I can find that would explain this terrible setting. I certainly didn't choose it.

Wow that's annoying that there's a language that terrible as an option that can set itsself and refuse to change. Uninstalling the app worked, thanks.

I hope nobody actually uses that language option. Probably a reason it's at the bottom of the list.
