For those of you still having issues with the firefox fix, you need to Disable ETP, clear your data and then immediately restart Firefox. (the blocked cookies will still be in RAM unless you restart firefox and download them again in an unblocked state. This goes for Chrome as well but it's harder to do there as the there's more settings to deal with)
Can't load the board and pieces. Running in on Chrome. Anyone else has the same problem, What to do, I need my dose of chess, or I go nuts. SOS.
having the exact same problem
Can confirm that using a VPN, and accessing the US servers fixed it for me. It's a Canadian Servers issue.
I'm not gonna use this website if it means getting some sketchy vpn. If Chess.com doesn't fix their product then I'm just going to use another website.

It's an issue with the third-party Content Delivery Network (CDN) the site is using. One other member seems to be fixed. You might try again, after a hard refresh.

Just tried it again. Its not working..not trying to be a hardass or anything - but i am paying for this app - can we get an ETA on a fix?
For those who are desperate a temporary option is to switch the "Pieces Style" to 'Real 3D' under Settings > Board & Pieces. Far from ideal though.

I haven't heard anything, though some members have indicated they started working for them.
In Canada. Spent the last 2 hours playing with settings and deleting and installing updates. Basically doing all the stuff that breaks a working PC trying to fix this before I found this thread. As a paying customer, a notice on log in, a email, a twitter.... anything that would have let me know to no play with my computer it was on your end and all I needed to do was wait would have been helpful. Still not working after 2 hours of trying everything. I will not download some jank vpn to infest my word with scammers and potential computer issues as suggest above.
Can't believe there's been no official address of this issue. Canadian on chrome here, unable to play for days. Very frustrating.
Someone from Chess.com staff please give us an update/explanation with an ETA of when we will be able to use our accounts again please.
Staff are aware and working with the CDN provider to resolve.

Thanks!
I sent in a bug report with this thread, hopefully a dev/support staff will see it and address it.
The Real3D option does work, but it's awful to play with. I can only play bot games with that style.
Firefox fastest fix verified: (ETP Shield On -> Off -> On to reset ->) ETP Shield Off. Restart Browser. Go to chess.com(/live)
The issue restarts repeatedly after a few hours, so you gotta keep doing it. The CDN's assetfiles from chesscomfiles.com seem fine on their own. The cookie handler javascript is bugged though hence SameSite
What am I even talking about?
Cookies, (document.cookie) #samesite
The above fix I posted includes having "the shield" off. Chrome users, check this link and the reply at the bottom: Firefox Browser 87.0b4 (64-bit) Unloaded Assets issues. (Enhanced Tracking Protection to Fix) Reply #4
