It's only eight days, just wait it out.
In this context, his user-name is somewhat ironic.
No, a staff member must take that player off vacation. Notify a staff member, and they will do it (probably).
Then, you will have to wait for that person to time out.
If the account was closed "accidentally" or otherwise unexpectedly, auto-resigning all games would not give the person any time to plead their case to have the account re-opened. So they allow the games to time-out, instead. If the user was a premium member, then they still get put on auto-vacation. You'll just have to wait until their vacation time runs out or they manage to sucessfully re-open the account.
Haha yeah But I checked the list of caught cheaters, and his name wasn't there, so I think he closed it himself.
I was just thinking that it might be a glitch that chess.com isn't aware of.

However, his rating was above mine before he closed his account! I think it was in the 2100's. Which makes me think that he timed out in all his other games. Perhaps they were no vacation games, but that is a lot of games.
I would like if chess.com allowed us to view the players' profiles still, after they were closed. Is there a reason we can't?
I noticed that in "My Games" there were two games that had been on "a few minutes" left for a few hours. I went to check it out, and apparently my opponent is on vacation. However, it gave the status in the "My Games" section as "Waiting" rather than "Vacation". Furthermore, I clicked on my opponent's profile, and his account has been closed? What has happened here? I thought that once you close your account you resign all your games? Just wondering.
