personally ive never had any problem.
Difficulty Logging on to Chess.com
Thanks Gordon- as I'm In same area will refer to staff I think but they do request us to try forums firstly.
Donald, could you try an experiment?
Log out, then go to http://www.chess.com. Don't log in but access any of the menus you can reach. Does the screens look similar to what you experienced before?
One possibility is that your browser had remembered your password - but had remembered the wrong one. Do you ever agree to the browser remembering passwords - if it asks you? Which browser were/are you using?
Another possibility: having CAPS Lock unexpectedly on (there is no SHIFT Lock).
Thanks Art...reluctant to log out in view of live games and fear of being stuck again ... am hopeless on computers depending on a friend to assist sticky bits. I REALLY HAD AWFUL TIME THIS MORNING.. SOMETIMES COMES UP CORRECTLY AT SECOND ATTEMPT BY THE WAY... am on Internet explorer and never agreed passwording but sometimes friends have access and a temporarily resident cat ( rescued from a house fire) keeps treading on keyboard!
will try your process later if u don't mind ?
On trying to log on to Chess.com today I was repeatedly directed to a page of completely different appearance and layout to usual response. It included invitation to join or login but every attempt to login failed to bring up my games, only recording my player name and then recycling display instead of opening up play. Page was black and white only and the content arranged in long vertical columns Footnote stated Chess.com 2009.Finally I managed to log on by shutting down and restarting computer intallation- but only at 3rd attempt. Problem a new one which first began to plague me a few weeks ago when I believe there was a glitch on some parts of the system which had to be worked on.
