I have an android phone.
I have a laptop computer.
Sometimes when I am playing a chess game on the laptop (live another human) I get a message saying I have been disconnected because I logged on with another device.
Hello mobilomegaman66,
first of all, I’m really sorry you had to deal with this experience. I’m here to help!
The issue could be due to the following reasons:
1. Not closing your apps properly
Your phone's RAM might keep the app active in the background. You should fully close the app whenever you leave it.
2. Outdated Google Play Store app
Many apps don’t update automatically, so it’s worth checking if you have the latest version of the Google Play Store app.
3. Your laptop and phone are linked
Just as a MacBook might be linked with an iPhone, your laptop could also be linked with your phone. This connection might trigger your app and confuse the website where you’re playing. This is done to ensure that you’re not cheating with Chess.com’s engine while playing.
If none of these points apply, please reach out here, describe your problem, and a competent staff member will assist you within 24-72 hours.
If you prefer not to do this, I recommend always logging out of the app when you leave. You can then log back in easily with your email address (Google address) without needing a password, which should resolve the issue.
I hope this helps, and I wish you lots of fun on Chess.com.

I have an android phone.
I have a laptop computer.
Sometimes when I am playing a chess game on the laptop (live another human) I get a message saying I have been disconnected because I logged on with another device. I have to quickly open the chess.com app on my phone and finish the game if I can do it quick enough and not run out of time on my clock.
I tried blocking notifications from Chess.com on my phone but that didn't fix this. What do I need to do short of turning my phone off to keep this from happening?
