It is very possible you were disconnected after your opponent sent his move to the server and before your client finally got it. I believe your clock on the server starts after receiving the move from your opponent; I don't think it waits for an acknowledgement from your end and waits to see your move to determine if lag adjustments might be needed.
Looking at the game times, white took 2:40 for move 16, 38.8 seconds for move 17 and only 2.2 seconds for move 18. So it does appear that you really got disconnected from the Live server back-end (which is different than the regular web servers as far as I'm aware).
Since you mention 3 minutes, it does look like you were not fully connected during that time and not being connected for 3 minutes in that time control will cause the game to end by abandonment.
Are you playing on v2 or v3? I assume v2 but wanted to check.
Also, there is probably a bug since the client should have seen that you were really disconnected. You probably should open a ticket. That said, if you are on v2, the solution will likely be for you to switch to v3.
A 10-minute game with Julioadrian11. He moves really slow. I have him boxed after he castles and wait 3 minutes for him to move. I refreshed the screen twice to make sure there was no lag. It takes awhile to refresh the screen. He finally moves and then I move. And this message comes up: GAME ABANDONED. JULIOADRIAN11 WINS.
This is really B.S. My clock shows 51 seconds, I check my high speed connection, it says I'm connected, I open a new tab by clicking on my name just to make sure I'm really connected.
Yes, all good. So this is either a hack or your chess software has yet ANOTHER bug. I did not abandon the game, I had time left on the clock, and it only takes a couple seconds for me to refresh the screen, so there is no way I got kicked because I was disconnected for 1 whole minute.
I want my points restored.
