i can't believe you people are not taking this issue seriously!!

i mean the guy has to sit there for one whole minute. what if it was a bullet game ? your fingers would be going ape! a guy could easily go mental and apparently that can happen to chess players.

Let me mention my problem.... i play for long hours at night and sometimes simply doze off while the game is running... but yes, in over 90 percent of these games I am in winning position and in rest games, it is undecided. I have never ever done it to avoid defeat os harass others.... any way ... I am deeply sorry to those all to whome I have caused agony.  For those who do it intentionally , or ask for DRAW in losing positions, I think they should be banned.

There's no need - for the serious online chess player you can get adult nappies.

Also ideal for anyone who is genuinely serious about being lazy, even if they don't play chess.

90%? impressive

durgapur

true

ok.. wait a second..it can be 60 - 70 percent,  but NEVER on losing occassions

Sunofthemorninglight

i trolled a guy once otb, lost my Queen, so i had a long think...

here's me thinking

"wtf ... me Queen of all things, how am i supposed to get it back ? well there's no clocks so ... lemme think .... nothing! i dunno what to do ... think again will ya!! still nothing ..."

i sat there and tried to think what to do but couldn't see a way to get the Queen back, then i had a great idea!

"i'll pretend i'm analysing really deep and that i made a Queen sac, then move suddenly really confidently and take him by surprise"

so when i moved, he jumped and responded straight away and i got his Queen.

when you're one move from mate, the only hope is a disconnection or something stupid like rage-resign.

well if nobody tried that on a website, i'd have to be surprised.

your shenanigans reflect more on you than your opponent.

Sunofthemorninglight

it's pretty rad that jempty's only contribution to this thread was his complaint that nobody was contributing to the thread and his threat to tattle.

Maybe he fell asleep and is dreaming of rss. Or, is it pos? I forget.

All such threads will be monitored, and reported to staff, per their request.  Get back on topic or STFU.

what does STFU mean to the thread police?

Sunofthemorninglight

i'm guessing "sticky tights feel uncomfortable".

When you agree to a game, you agree to the time constraints. Both you and your opponent can use the amount of time you have however you want. People do sometimes think about a move for upwards of a minute. If a minute is too long for you to wait, then you need to start playing games with shorter time constraints.

I've also been coming across a lot of posts recently complaining about being kicked off the server or disconnected by chess.com (it seems to have been happening more frequently as of late). And consequently getting an abandoned game warning/being able to connect back with only a few seconds left on the clock (so they time out). So perhaps you are running up against people who are having this problem?

your ideas are far too logic for our OP and for his sidekick jempty.

I feel like I should throw my two cents in here, since this type of thing was a big turn off for me and part of why I don't come around here much anymore.

Jempty has a good point, although he's not very articulate about it.  It seems to happen quite often that these Spam Society members will flood an otherwise reasonable thread with terse unfunny inside jokes or unoriginal memes ripped off from that hell called 4chan.

From my perspective it seems like they (RSS) have been grandfathered in to being above the rules here and allowed to troll with no restraints.  Maybe a bit of favoritism too because of their paying member status, but that's understandable, chess.com is a business.

This type of crap makes these forums pretty worthless.  It's real lame to have to read a constant stream of drivil looking for chess content.  The only real fix for this that I can see is chess.com implementing a self moderating forum where members vote on individual posts with a karma system.  That way RSS crap would get moderated in to oblivion for the unfunny shit it is.

totally and this terrible language too!

So the Royal Spam Society is at it again.  Consider yourselves reported.

You're secretly in love with us. Go ahead, admit it.

I have a better idea.  Post something constructive in this thread, or any thread for that matter.  Until then I will report every instance of thread hijacking by members of the Royal Spam Society as asked to do.

Your hall monitor sash is very lovely.
