Knockout tournament

I am in a knockout tournament (first round) with three other players in my group. Each of us must play two games against everyone else, once as White, once as Black. The top two scorers will advance to the next round.
Continuing from my first, prematurely uploaded post above...I have played two games with zero points. Three other games are in progress. One other game is yet to be played. My question: if I lose enough of the in-progress games that I can't overtake the top two players and advance to the next round, is the yet unplayed game automatically cancelled without a penalty (ratings-wise) for both players? Or does something else occur?
