I don't know why my Live Chess page is in BETA mode. I have never joined BETA before. How do I get off of it?

Use the menu Play > Live Chess option

The site has released the beta option for members to get feedback and additional testing. It will be the default for play options, so you'll need the above for the original Live.

Eventually, yes, it will replace the current Live. That won't happen until they are at feature parity at least.
