I have recently noticed in live chess the message, "Connection Interrupted. Reconnecting." There is no indication that it is my internet connection, which seems to be OK. This has been happening increasingly over the last month or so and is very frustrating.

I'm using an ipad. Jaclyn1, with all due respect, I haven't ever gotten any answers from you, only questions. It's really frustrating. Is chess.com working on this? How are they working on it? It just happens again and happens fairly often.

This is happening a lot now! It happens on a normal computer on both Safari and FireFox running on Mavericks. Today I lost three games exactly like this: I move, then it's my opponents turn, their clock is red, but it's not counting down. I try to move anything on the board and it's a total freeze. Then I have to quickly close the browser, reopen it and log in again. As soon as I log in I always had only a few seconds left. Yesterday was the same thing. Chess.com used to be the best place to play peacefully and fairly. Now is degenerating like many other sites. I'm sure it's a bug that some users are exploiting. Too bad.
The newest bug is now when my opponent advances his pawn to queen, the game freezes. jacl1n, what's up with this?

JSg222- Thanks for letting me know about that! Does the app ever catch up after it freezes -so you're able to see the move list by chance? I did have a possibly related issue reported earlier today. Thanks for your help!
Seems to be locking up live chess only when the Calvin klein add is display on the right hand side.
MOST DISGUSTING, when I am in the PEAK of the game , thinking about strategies, suddenly message pops up "Connection inturrepted .. reconnecting", and u wait and wait and finally you loose the game!. When moderators can SENSE "game aborted" and pops up message "frequent ...", WHY CANT THEY SENSE THIS PART OF THE ACTION IN THEIR PORTALS, IS IT THESE CHESS.COM ARE A GROUP OF CHEATERS THEMSELVES WHO MAKE MONEY, as i a paid member , I have written several mails no reply????????????,

Maybe. Will have a look again. It seems relatively cheat free, but the site otherwise has nevet really done great things for me, except that they were a reasonable site during the recent WC match.

But, I have none here. But, I only play on a home PC.
I had a similar problem. I played my turn and suddenly something glitched and my time was running instead of my opponents! I couldnt move anything and then i ended up losing by time
Is that on V2 or V3? I find V2 to be much faster so I still use it for live chess.
I am not able to play live chess now at all! Just get the loading screen indefinitely ?
Yeah, still happening using my PC browser. Constantly freezing up, the wrong clock ticking, squares going grey, SUPER high disk usage (often at 100%), fan going full-steam blowing hot air. I'm thinking about suing for the wear on my machine. I'm joking, but maybe I'm not. Is there a way to contact the board members of this company? Just who does own this company, anyway?
Also, the bottom left of my screen will frequently be displaying text saying "waiting for (various advertising companies)" while these freezes are occurring.
Are you guys using my PC to mine BTC or something? Seriously, the disk usage is crazy!
I have a lot of trouble with "chess freezes" too. I am thinking of giving up chess. I have trouble accessing the internet (using firefox); I frequently when playing on chess.com have a delay when I try to get my mouse to move the piece. Typically its a second or two. When it happens it repeats throughout the game and the next game too. I am using a router from charter.net. I am using windows 8.5.
The problem is really awful... I don't think chess.com is aware of it or has any clue.

This issue is so frustrating. I know its nothing wrong on my end, because everything else in the browser works just fine, the mouse moves and all the buttons work except for the ability to move my piece. I'm afraid this is getting worst.
I have deranked over 300 points from sitting there waiting for my opponent to move, i refresh the page and then all of sudden i've lost. why is this happening? I still have plenty of time. This usually happens when I am about to win a match. Never when my opponent is winning so i feel its some type of glitch.
This is why I cancelled my account. Freeze ups are constant on windows platform. I just get a greyed out screen with a couple of squares spinning as my time ticks out. Its the server and its failure makes chess.com a failure.
