Lost avatar picture, can't get it back.

I open my files click on picture, click select, but it doesn't work. Any theories?

You could try google images for woodshover.

Yes. I have pictures in my file, but when I right click on it, and click "select" nothing happens.

And it is in jpeg format? There are some picture file formats the site doesn't support.

Outside of that, I have noticed some other glitches lately. For example, I tried to make a new theme with a photo uploaded for the background. Once I had uploaded the photo, it wouldn't allow me to save. If I tried altering an existing theme by uploading a new photo, it also wouldn't save.

There can be only one Conflagration Planet. Your name or your pic had to go.

 Right click on the file and choose Open with, Paint. Save file as file type .gif.

 I did this. Still don't have the avatar as you can see.

Maybe you should contact support, then.

By avatar, do you mean the logo image that appears to the left of your name & details ?  I had problems with mine until I realised it shouldn't be more than 100 pixels square. I reduced the .gif image I use using Paint as corrijean suggests.

I don't know that it matters whether it's a .jpg or .gif file as long as the size isn't too great.

The biggest (technical) problem I have with this site is that I keep losing posted comments - I hit 'Submit' & they vanish forever. Anyone else have that problem ?

I only have that problem if the page has been idle for a fairly long period of time before I try to post the comment.

If I'm typing something long or complicated, I usually copy it before I hit submit.

Your old one went when you had the name change. There should be no reason why it shouldn't re-add on here. (thats what I meant on the homepage note).
