My homepage messages

On my homepage where is says, My Messages, I can't get rid of the alert for a new message even thougth I've read the message. I don't want to change my alerts just remove the alert after I've looked at it.  Thanks !

go to the MY HOME area and clickonit when the pop down menu shows up there will be one that says messages clik on that and you will get a whole list of messages. go to the bottom of the page and thhere will be a delete button, click on the messages you want to delete and clik . that should do it .

Thanks Will but I've tried that. Even deleted many but my homepage still shows one new message.  I hope the next big step in home PC's is simplification. 90% of us don't use 90% of the stuff on PC so why not just produce some stripped down models. All I need is email and internet access
