you don't appear to have played or be playing any games. Who were your opponents?
My moves don't register

No, the games weren't aborted and no draw was offered. As I said, when I refreshed the screen I was allowed to move. Apparently the screen was outdated, based on the message I saw on the top of the screen.

I did click the "submit move" button. It's just that they kept going back to the way it was before I moved. I did however try refreshing the screen, and my moves were allowed.
Thanks.

things like that happen, with me the internet dissconect almost every time i make a move (only on chess.com, never on other sites!!!) i have to repeat it again and again untill it accepts the move and goes to the next screen, very frustrating, but gives me time to see if there is a better one, or to corret mistakes

there's no sign of your game in iskandar's online chess either. Is it possible your opponents aborted the games? Were you many moves in or not?

It might be because the person offered a draw, that has happened to me a few times. They don't let you move if they have offered a draw. Other than that i'm not really sure.

Although fiddler927's games are invisible (to MM78 and others), her opponent's games are not quite so well camoflaged.

art I can assure that game wasn't showing in iskandar's list either earlier on....I hope you haven't got some invisible pieces in our game!

Most of my pieces do seem to become invisible with alarming regularity! That is a rather small concern next to the fact that fiddler927 has herself now disappeared - along with her games - in that she is not findable via Member Search.

***FireFox3*** I found that one best> I tried all, internet explorer, opera, safari firefox
slightly off-topic, but are there specific drawbacks with the different browsers? e.g.
IE7 | tends to disconnect with LiveChess |
IE8 | ? |
Opera | ? |
Safari | uses a heavier font setting that blurs text |
Firefox 3 |
? |

I use IE7, after having used Firefox for a year or more. Unfortunately when Comcast took over my cable/internet provider, I started having all kinds of problems with Firefox, and I reluctantly went back to IE7. Since then, it has worked pretty well for me; I'm not having nearly the trouble with it that I had when it first came out.

this is clearly an issue with your browser. perhaps you have some javascript disabled or don't allow files from files.chess.com or static.chess.com to be read. or you need to clear all of your local browser files. but it isn't a corruption on our end. i suggest you Contact support for some personalized help.

No, really, it's ok. I've solved the problem. I just have to make sure the screen is current.

That is curious! I can assure you that I have not disappeared, nor have my games. I have one with Iskandar ongoing at the moment!

Was it or was it not that great chess player René Descartes who observed:
Ludero ergo sum {"I play [chess] therefore I exist"}
to which Galileo allegedly retorted: "You're putting DesCartes before DesHorse! Get a life!"
Currently I am playing two games. After submitting my moves in both games, they didn't show on the board, and the program won't allow me to submit another move. What gives?
