Need Help?
That is an impossible position because it is white to move, yet black is checkmated. I had been making a joke similar to those of previous postings. Take a look at the first page or two to get an idea of what I'm talking about.
After you fork the queen with your knight, he has to not make a move for two turns, kind of simulating having a smoke. Isn't that the accepted house rule?
Yes. There is also a rule stating that you cannot move a piece to a certain square unless I accept that move. For that reason, I have beaten Magnus Carlsen in two moves following those rules.
Thank goodness! I have been searching everywhere for a serious thread where I can get help with my question (believe it or not, every other thread I went to is full of immature jokers): my opponent took his queen out in the opening, but all the higher rated players I know tell me that's not allowed. Is this a bug in live chess?
Yes. You have been malinformed, though, because you are forced to move the queen on your first move.
Daniel1883, when you hover above a player's avatar, you see their rating. Most of the people posting are rated at least 400 points above you, and they therefore make a joke out of asking you stupid questions and giving stupid answers, myself included (but not for the rating part). Thake the entire forum as a joke to the original post and you will see from our point of view.
What exactly does my opponent mean by "mating with the queen"?
