notification counter shows, but no notifications

i logged in just a bit ago and i noticed my notifications counter on my sidebar was on. same thing with my daily games counter. (screenshot provided)

however, when i go to hover over either of them to see what it is, the notifications dont show.
(see screenshots below.)

i have no way to clear these notifications either. it's really starting to bother me. is there anything i can do to fix this??
im currently using safari browser on a macbook pro if that helps with anything. never had this happen before.

huh, interesting then. thought it mightve just been me.
another thing, it seems like i got a notification for your reply but it still didnt show in the alerts. i had to come to this page through the forum board to even see this.

I think it's likely due to server loads.

I have the same problem, I can't access my daily games unless I go to my profile... as well as my notifications.

You can also see them by going to Play > Games > Daily Games

I have the same thing. Tried logging in with a different browser, which I never use for chess.com and it was still there.

Probably server overload again... By the way, is there any alternate way to see what notification you might have? I have some vote chess games ( I am solo) and don't want to time them out. I know I can access the club and vote chess directly like this but just want to make sure. Thank you!

Try clearing your browser cache.
