Orange dongle

After eighteen months trouble free use on a Macbook with an Orange dongle the pieces on my chess board have gone missing. Everything is fine when at home using the same laptop with BT landline connection. I have followed the advice given in the help and support section but with no joy. Can anyone offer any help?

Thanks.

Has your dongle done any recent updates? Or needs too ?

first, try a hard refresh (control+f5). if not,you need to turn off their "turbo" mode or whatever is killing the javascript. often times mobile providers attempt to "speed" things up by not loading certain important elements.

Thanks for the advice. I have tried a hard refresh but with no luck. I'll speak again to Orange and enquire about updates and how to turn off their "turbo" mode.

Thanks.

I'm going to contact Orange on Monday. In the meantime, can you both click on these links, then email me what you see please? It'd be really helpful if you could screenshot what you're seeing   kohai@chess.com

I phoned Orange today. From what they have said, the current version is 8 which is very glitchy.

Version 9 is  scheduled to be released end of February 2011 and should fix most glitches.

Orange have said that the glitch our members are having is either coming from glitchy software on the dongle or a bad install Frown

Orange recommend that their users either

1. Un-install and re-install the dongle software

or

2. Go onto www.orange.co.uk/updates and update the dongle with the latest patch

Apart from this, Orange cannot suggest anything else for their users other than to wait for the new version 9 release end of February.

Sorry :(

Thanks for trying. I'll buy the new version at the end of next month as suggested.
