It depends on:
1. Your rating
2. Your opponents rating
3. The # of games you have played
4. The # of games your opponent has played.

thanks that was helpful.
Still what if you play a game and you are winning so the other player knows that, so he waits untill his time ends. Do you still get the same ammount of points even if you won by mate ?
thanks.
It doesn't matter how you beat your opponent, the points are only based off the respective ratings when the defeat occurs(granted there is a time factor in the Glicko system but it's not really relevant to the answer).
I was just wondering.......how/what determines the amount of points that i receive/loose when compleating my chess games ???Cuz i've noticed it not always the same amount....////thankyou for your time and effort.
it depends on winning or losing a game also. if you lose, your points drop and if you win your point increase
