remove my avatar but ...what point is he violating?

could you explain why my avatar was removed? what point is he violating? it is taken from wikipedia. "This image of simple geometry is ineligible for copyright and therefore in the public domain, because it consists entirely of information that is common property and contains no original authorship."

Avatars must NOT contain:

Gore, blood or other bodily fluids
Hate symbols, pictures of war criminals, depictions of murder or other criminal acts/illegal substances
Profanity in any language (including ASL and “flicking someone off”) or racial slurs
Full nudity, pornographic images
Pornographic cartoons or anime (hentai/ecchi).
Strategically covered nudity, sheer or see-through clothing, lewd undergarments or provocative poses (cartoons included.)
Close-ups of breasts, buttocks, or crotches (cartoons included.)
Unauthorized copyrighted material
Pictures mocking or impersonating another Chess.com member
Political or religious references 

Politically related avatars can be removed, and that can include the Russian flag currently.

in this case, return the flag to me instead of a link to an article with described events that I have nothing to do with. Why is Russia discredited of all countries? Players using the Ukrainian flag emoticon in this case are not politically connected?

I absolutely agree. There must be tens or hundreds of millions of Russians who don't agree with the war and now they cannot feel Russian? The problem is: the big media machinery sells this story of poor Ukraine being destroyed for no reason, but this is far from the truth. I am froum a country adjacent to Ukraine (not Russia), and even half a year ago poir "Ukraine" threatened my country with millitary occupation, and called my people worse than a dog. Ukranians are not so nice people, especially with this Western pupoet leadership.

Cancel culture. Then delete all the database on Russian chess players too, just like it is prohibited to play Tchaikovsky and to read Tolstoy.

It can take up to a couple of days to get a reply from support. Plus, it was the weekend, so that can impact things as well.

Russian people and players can still do everything on the site that they could before - it's just that their flag isn't being displayed. Boo hoo. It's a slap on the wrist, and if that upsets you, you should ask yourself why.
