So you chose custom in the drop down time menu and when the rating options button popped up, you clicked on it and chose unrated, and still got a rated game? Â Must be a bug.
Setting Live Chess Ratings
Thanks for the replies.
I clicked the drop-down menu, when I was set to play live chess, and chose Unrated. Â I did not open a game yet.Â
Then I also clicked on Settings and did the same things. Â I still got a rated game. Â :(
Â
The other players had "rating" displayed when we played.
I notified chess.com Tech Support. Â I also posted on the Help & Support Forum.
Just my best guesstimate but I think you have to start a new game immediately after you choose unrated in the drop down time menu. Â When you jump to another screen (settings), your unrated choice disappears. Â The settings just let you see other seeks. Â If you want to choose unrated in settings, fine, but do it before you hit the time menu and start a new game. Â I'm often wrong...

Ehhh...slight problem here...I am trying to play Unrated Live Chess, to stop the bleeding in my live-chess rating. I tried to change the settings to Unrated (there are two places to change game options for ratings), but the rating still appears. The good news is I won two games...but the rating is still in effect. How do I change the rating on Live Chess?
